Trillium's approach is to allow and embrace what is appearing in each moment, applying and cultivating the teachings and meditation instructions of the Buddha and other wise men and women preceding and succeeding him in order to peel of the layers of conditioning to see reality as it truly is. She promotes welcoming, exploring and understanding our behavioural patterns and tendencies, so that we can see, feel, know and let go. Through meditation, body awareness and movement, breathwork, and witnessed sharing in loving and non-judgemental presence, it is possible to allow behavioural patterns, emotional triggers and other contractions held within the physical and non-physical bodies to be acknowledged, embraced, transmuted and released.
The main path, method and passion is meditation. Trillium has enjoyed many thousands of hours ‘on the cushion’ in meditation practice and has completed many month- and year- long meditation retreats, some of which have been in silence and solitude. She finds meditation to be an essential gateway to clear seeing.
Trillium has done many Ayurvedic Panchakarma retreats and other body cleanses as part of her own inner healing work and also Darkroom retreats, which she now promotes and guides for others to experience and benefit. She practices 'Pranic Living’, cultivating as much as possible an 'Alpha Brainwave' state, where increasing the pranic (life force) content of the body mind complex is done through practices of mindfulness, sungazing, pranayama and other (secret) techniques bestowed from practicing Masters, resulting in no intake of food as sustenance for certain periods of time.
Trillium practiced Qi Gong and Tai Chi intensively on a daily basis within the Shaolin lineage for 2.5 years. Subsequently, she was referred to three acclaimed Masters to deepen and cultivate her understanding of Internal Arts and energy transmission - Sifu Mark Rasmus, Sifu Ludovic, and (True Grand Master lineage holder) Huai Hsiang Howard Wang of Prana Dynamics. She finds that tthese teachers and the practices they have transmitted incorporate all aspects and components of meditation and awareness in action, whilst cultivating energy balance and physical pliancy. It is truly a means to 'live the teaching'.
